Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician in the York cluster to cover Tadcaster and surrounding areas. You will perform mechanical roadside repairs and diagnostics, ensuring rapid responses to breakdowns while keeping members safe and back on the road.

The role requires a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and at least 2 years' post-qualification experience, plus a full UK driving licence. You start and end at home with RAC support and a provided van and tools.

Qualifications

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification or equivalent.
• At least 2 years' post-qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience.
• Customer-focused approach and full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end your day at home while helping members get back on the road.
• Use tools and diagnostic kit provided to ensure quick, confident solutions.
