Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll start and end your day on your driveway, with demand-led shifts averaging 40 hours per week and optional overtime.

You’ll join a team with a market-competitive base salary of £36,400 and a realistic OTE of £60,000, plus a benefits package including a pension, life cover, holidays, and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Tackle challenges head-on and provide quick, confident solutions for RAC members.
