Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs and support members across the UK. You will operate from home with a RAC van and diagnostic kit, tackling calls that require practical problem-solving and professional customer service.

The role offers a strong base salary (£36,400) with an attainable OTE (£60,000+), flexible shifts, and enhanced overtime, along with benefits and pension support.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Work autonomously from home base and manage roadside calls with a RAC van and toolkit.
