Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You’ll diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs, and assist members across the UK, delivering quick, confident solutions.

You'll start and end your day at home, equipped with your RAC van, tools, and diagnostic kit. A full UK driving licence with ≤6 points is required, and either NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years as a vehicle technician.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years experience.
• Alternatively, 5+ years experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair.
• Provide vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• You will start and end your day at home with your RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit.
