Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You’ll diagnose and repair vehicles at the roadside across the UK, delivering quick solutions while delivering outstanding member service.

You’ll work from home base and travel locally and nationwide, supported by your RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, diagnostic kit, and tools. The role offers a competitive base salary with strong earning potential through regular incentives.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end your day at home, travelling to local areas to assist RAC members.
