Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division, delivering expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll start and end your day at home, tackling challenges with confidence while helping members get back on the road quickly.

You’ll operate with RAC-provided tools, van, and diagnostic kit from day one. Requirements include an NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience, 5+ years’

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end your day at home, tackling challenges head-on and making a real impact on the roadside.
• You'll be equipped with tools and support provided by RAC to diagnose and fix faults on site.
