Job summary

RAC in Nottingham is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles at the roadside, delivering expert mechanical support across the UK. You’ll work the local patrol area, keeping drivers moving and providing reassurance on calls.

The role starts and ends at home, with a RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit supplied. NVQ Level 2 or 2+ years experience, plus a full UK licence with fewer than 6 points, are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• You’ll start and end your day at home, and tackle challenges head-on.
• Utilise provided RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit.
