Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician for the York area to provide rapid roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll be supported by a RAC van, fuel card, and diagnostic kit to get members back on the road quickly.

You’ll start and finish your day at home, typically around 40 hours per week with demand-led shifts and optional overtime. A Level 2 LV Maintenance qualification with 2+ years’ experience and a full UK driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification required with at least 2 years’ post-qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience.
• Customer-focused approach required.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support.
• Works across the UK to get members back on the road.
• Start and finish daily at home with travel to local job sites.
