Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join the Harlow cluster, covering local areas and starting/ending the day from home. You’ll deliver rapid roadside repairs, diagnostics, and breakdown support to members across the UK.

As a qualified technician with NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) and a full UK driving licence, you’ll thrive on variety, stay calm under pressure, and help drivers get back on the road quickly. RAC provides tools, a van, and full uniform from day one.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience in vehicle maintenance or as a mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repairs.
• Perform vehicle diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end your day at home, serving members locally.
