Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician in the Reading cluster and surrounding areas to provide expert roadside repair, diagnostics and breakdown support. You will begin and finish from home, visiting members in your local area with a RAC van, fuel card, uniform, and diagnostic tools supplied.

Ideal candidates will have NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years in vehicle maintenance, plus a full UK driving licence with <=6 points. Competitive base pay and realistic OTE await.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic and a valid UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end your day at home while servicing members on the roadside.
• Utilise provided RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit.
