Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join the Harlow cluster, servicing areas including Harlow and surrounding towns. You’ll diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs and emergency breakdown support to help members return to the road across the UK.

You’ll start and end your day at home, with a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools and a diagnostic kit provided. The role offers a strong base pay and realistic OTE with a trusted brand by your side.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• You’ll be a problem solver, a people person, and an ambassador for RAC.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs on-site to get members back on the road.
• Deliver reassuring, high-quality customer service while working under pressure on roadside calls.
