Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician in Wakefield, Yorkshire. You will perform diagnostics and roadside repairs to keep members on the move. Expect demand-led shifts averaging around 40 hours per week with optional overtime to boost earnings.

You’ll start and finish your day at home with an RAC van, fuel card, full uniform and diagnostic kit provided. A Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience are required, plus a full UK driving licence with under 6 points.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish your day at home, solving challenges head-on and helping members get back on the road.
• You’ll have RAC van, fuel card, full uniform and essential tools provided.
