Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our team and keep the UK moving. You will perform diagnostics and roadside repairs, supported by a RAC van and tools, starting and finishing at home and working in your local area.

You must have a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with 2+ years of experience, or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, plus a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience is required.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic is acceptable.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Deliver emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Tackle faults efficiently to get RAC members back on the road.
