Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to perform mechanical repairs and diagnostics on roadside breakdowns across the UK. You will operate from home base with local shifts, responding to calls to get members back on the road quickly.

The role requires an NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience and a full UK driving licence. Training and RAC van are provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish local calls from home and get members back on the road quickly.
• Utilise RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit provided to complete on-site repairs.
