Job summary

RAC is looking for a Roadside Technician to serve customers across the UK, beginning and ending each day at home with a RAC van, fuel card, and diagnostic kit. You’ll perform fault diagnostics, tyre and battery work, and other roadside repairs with confidence and care.

Requirements include NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance, 2+ years’ experience, plus 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic and a clean UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish your day at home, tackling challenges head-on and making a real impact on the roadside.
• You’ll be provided with a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit.
