Job summary

RAC Motoring Services is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults and perform mechanical roadside repairs across the UK, delivering fast, reliable breakdown support for our members. The role emphasizes independent work, strong diagnostic skills and excellent customer service in demand-led shifts.

As part of a structured development pathway, you will access ongoing training and opportunities to achieve IMI accreditation, with a competitive base salary and potential bonuses.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience
• or
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• and A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults, solve problems and provide quick, confident solutions for members.
• Work independently to assess and repair problems and keep members moving.
• Combine technical expertise with strong customer service to reassure customers.
