Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults, perform mechanical roadside repairs and provide speedy breakdown support across the UK. You will work independently to help members continue their journeys safely and use the latest diagnostic tools to deliver confident, high‑quality service.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• As a Roadside Technician you’ll deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• You’ll diagnose faults, solve problems and provide quick, confident solutions to keep members moving.
• You’ll combine technical expertise with great customer service using the latest diagnostic technology.
