Job summary

Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician and start from home with a RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit supplied. You’ll work on roadside repairs and diagnostics across the UK, with shifts averaging around 40 hours and optional overtime.

A Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years as a Technician, plus a clean UK licence, are required. The role combines hands-on technical work with exceptional member service, in a fast-paced, rewarding environment

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support.
• Handle calls across the UK providing quick, confident solutions.
• Perform fault diagnostics, tyre changes and battery issues as required.
