Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will diagnose faults independently and provide quick, confident solutions to keep members moving.

Starting from home with demand-led shifts averaging 40 hours per week, you’ll benefit from a strong base pay, realistic OTE, and a structured development pathway toward IMI accreditation and career growth with RAC.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 2+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic or more.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults independently and offer quick, confident solutions.
• Guide members to continue their journeys safely.

Education

NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance

Experience: 2+ years as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic

Full UK driving licence, <6 points
