Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to perform diagnostics, roadside repairs, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, deliver quick, confident solutions, and help members continue their journeys safely.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics across the UK.
• Provide emergency breakdown support and quick, confident solutions.
• Diagnose faults and help members continue their journeys safely.
• Work independently to diagnose faults and take appropriate action.
• Support and develop diagnostic capability via ongoing training.
