Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to perform roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, deliver fast solutions, and help members continue their journeys safely, working independently and with strong customer service.

Starting on your driveway, shifts average 40 hours per week with optional overtime. A structured development programme includes IMI accreditation and ongoing learning to grow your career with RAC.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions to get members back on the road.
• Work independently to identify faults and make clear, safety‑focused decisions.
