Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, solve problems, and help members continue their journeys safely.

You’ll work independently with a focus on fast, confident solutions and customer service, supported by a development pathway and IMI accreditation opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Provide roadside repair, diagnostics and breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults quickly to get members back on the road.
• Work independently to identify issues and take actionable steps.
• Deliver high‑quality customer service.
• Progress through a structured development pathway.
