Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics, supporting members across the UK with emergency breakdowns. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs and provide confident, reassuring service to help customers continue their journeys.

The role offers development through a structured pathway, with opportunities to achieve IMI accreditation and grow your career beyond the workshop.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic is acceptable as alternative.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults, solve problems and reassure members to get them back on the road.
• Work independently with a focus on high-quality customer service.
• Utilise latest diagnostic technology to identify faults.
