Job summary
RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will diagnose faults, solve problems promptly and reassure members when they need us most.
You’ll work independently to diagnose faults, help members continue their journeys safely, and use the latest diagnostic tools. A structured development pathway and IMI accreditation support your growth and career with RAC.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
- 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
Responsibilities
- Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
- Diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members.
- Work independently to diagnose faults and help members continue their journeys safely.
- Use the latest diagnostic technology to identify faults and get members back on the road quickly and safely.
- Be trusted to make decisions and develop skills with full support.
