Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs, and support members across the UK. The role combines technical work with strong customer service, and offers a structured development pathway including IMI accreditation.

You’ll work within the Patrol division, starting and finishing at the member’s location while active shifts average around 40 hours per week with optional overtime.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in light vehicle maintenance is required.
• 5+ years experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults independently, solve problems, and help members continue their journeys safely.
