Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to conduct mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs and provide reassuring service to members, often working independently with on‑demand shifts.

The role includes a structured development pathway with opportunities to achieve IMI accreditation and progression within the Patrol division.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and repair vehicles at the roadside.

Education
