Job summary

RAC is looking for a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults and provide confident solutions to help members continue their journeys safely, with shifts averaging around 40 hours per week and optional overtime.

Starting and finishing on your driveway, you’ll benefit from a structured development pathway, IMI accreditation opportunities, and a strong focus on customer service as part of the Patrol division.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions to keep members moving.
