RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division in the UK. You’ll perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency support to get members back on the road quickly.

The role offers a structured development pathway, hands-on learning and IMI accreditation opportunities, with shifts averaging 40 hours per week and optional overtime, starting and finishing from your home driveway in your local cluster.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsabilités

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults, solve problems and help members continue their journeys safely.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance when members need the RAC most.
• Work independently to diagnose faults and apply effective repair techniques.

Full UK driving licence

2+ years’ experience

5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Tech

Formation
