Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, provide quick, confident solutions, and help members continue their journeys safely.

You’ll join a structured development programme, with ongoing support, training, and IMI accreditation opportunities to grow your skills and advance your career.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions to members.
• Support customers with clear, reassuring service onsite.
