Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, provide quick, confident solutions and reassure members when they need help most.

You’ll work independently, using the latest diagnostic technology, and develop your skills through a structured development programme and IMI accreditation opportunities. A London weighting allowance may apply.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions to keep members moving
• Work independently to diagnose faults and help members continue their journeys safely
