Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician in the Warrington cluster, covering areas like Warrington, Widnes, Runcorn and surrounding towns. Start and finish at home, with a RAC van and diagnostic kit provided to support quick roadside repairs and diagnostics.

The role requires Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience (or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic) and a full UK driving licence. Expect shifts around 40 hours per week with optional overtime.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points is required.
• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Troubleshoot faults and provide quick, confident solutions to get members back on the road.
• Manage calls where you start and finish at home, supported by your RAC van and diagnostic kit.
