Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs and deliver emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will work independently, helping members regain their mobility with confidence and speed.

The role includes a structured development pathway, access to IMI accreditation and opportunities to grow your technical and customer-service skills within a trusted, long‑standing service brand.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults at the roadside and provide quick, confident solutions.
• Work independently to get members back on the road and ensure safe journeys.
