Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will diagnose faults, carry out roadside repairs, and help members continue their journeys safely with quick, confident solutions.

You’ll operate independently, using the latest diagnostic tools, and be supported by a structured development pathway that includes IMI accreditation to grow your technical skills and advance your career.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and get members back on the road quickly and safely.
• Work independently to identify faults and implement solutions.
