Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to deliver quick diagnostics and emergency roadside repairs across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, perform mechanical repairs, and provide reassurance to members to help them continue their journeys safely.

You’ll benefit from a structured development pathway with ongoing learning and opportunities to achieve IMI accreditation while advancing your skills and career within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions to keep members moving.
• Work independently to diagnose faults, solve problems and safely restore journeys.
