Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, perform emergency breakdown support and help members get back on the road quickly while maintaining excellent customer service.

The role offers a strong base of £36,400 with a realistic OTE of £61,000, plus a structured development pathway and accreditation opportunities through IMI.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 2+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic or 5+ years' experience in a similar role.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics across the UK.
• Diagnose faults, solve problems and help members continue their journeys safely.
• Utilise diagnostic technology and deliver quick, confident solutions with strong customer service.
