Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will diagnose faults, repair vehicles and provide reassuring service to members in need, often working independently to resolve issues promptly.

The role offers a base salary of £36,400 with a realistic OTE of £61,000 and opportunities for overtime; a structured development path and accreditation through the IMI are available as you grow your roadside expertise.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions to members.
• Utilise diagnostic technology to identify faults and help members continue their journeys safely.
