Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, provide quick, confident solutions and help members continue their journeys safely.

The role offers a strong base salary of £36,400 with a realistic OTE of £61,000, plus a structured development pathway and opportunities to gain IMI accreditation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• Alternatively 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults, provide quick, confident solutions and reassure members on the move.
• Work independently to identify faults and help members continue their journeys safely.
