Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will diagnose faults, perform fixes and help members continue their journeys safely.

The role offers 40-hour weeks with demand-led shifts, an extensive development pathway, and opportunities to gain IMI accreditation. A base salary of £36,400 with realistic OTE of £61,000 is highlighted, with overtime options available.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform mechanical roadside repairs
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members
• Use diagnostic tools to identify faults and get members back on the road
