Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions to help members continue their journeys safely.

You’ll work independently, combining technical skill with excellent customer service, in a role offering a base salary of £36,400 with an OTE of £61,000 and a structured development pathway.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• Or: 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs to get members back on the road quickly.
• Work independently with strong customer service to reassure members.
