Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will diagnose faults, provide quick, confident solutions, and help members continue their journeys safely with the latest diagnostic tools.

The role offers structured development, accreditation through IMI, and the opportunity to grow within the Patrol division, building long-term careers with generous holidays and pension provisions.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Independently diagnose faults and solve problems to keep members moving.
• Utilise diagnostic technology to identify faults and restore mobility quickly.
