Job summary

RAC Motoring Services is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults and deliver mechanical roadside repairs across the UK. You’ll work independently to help members get back on the road quickly, combining technical skill with strong customer service.

The role offers a base salary of £36,400 with an realistic OTE of £61,000 and opportunities for overtime, training, and IMI accreditation through RAC’s development pathway.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• Or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and support safe journeys for RAC members.
