Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to provide roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs and help members continue their journey safely.

The role combines technical work with strong customer service, autonomy, and opportunities for IMI accreditation through our structured development path. You'll start from customer locations, with 40-hour weeks on average and optional overtime.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic or 5+ years' experience in the field.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults, solve problems and get members back on the road quickly.
• Work independently while providing great customer service and safety.
