Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll start and end your day at home, tackling challenges head-on while delivering outstanding member service.

You’ll be equipped from day one with an RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools and a diagnostic kit, plus demand-led shifts averaging around 40 hours with optional overtime.

Qualifications

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with at least 2 years' post-qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience.
• A customer-focused approach.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Handle faults ranging from flat batteries to tyre changes and complex fault-finding with confidence.
• Provide quick solutions and reassurance to RAC members when needed.
