Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and fault diagnostics across the UK, combining technical skill with exceptional member service. You’ll start and finish at home, visiting members in your local area and rotating across clusters to cover Reading and Oxford areas.

The role includes using your own RAC van, diagnostic kit, and tools, with a competitive base salary and a realistic OTE.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience; or 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end your day at home while working in your local area.
