Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to keep the UK moving. Start and finish from home, with a RAC van and diagnostic kit provided. The role offers a realistic OTE of around £60k+, plus top performers earn more through bonuses and overtime.

You’ll be part of the local Walsall cluster, delivering roadside repairs and diagnostics with on‑site team support across your area. The position includes a strong benefits package and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Perform expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish your day at home while visiting local areas to service members.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance when roadside issues arise.
