Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will start and finish each day at your home with the RAC van, fuel card, full uniform and diagnostic kit supplied.

Requirements include NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years as a technician, plus a clean UK driving licence. Shifts average 40 hours per week with overtime options and potential bonuses.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience.
• Or 5+ years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end day at home with a RAC van, fuel card, uniform and tools provided.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members on the roadside.
