Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You’ll perform expert mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK, starting and ending your day at home.

You’ll be equipped with a RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools, and diagnostic kit to deliver fast, confident solutions to members. You’ll work shifts averaging 40 hours per week with optional overtime, and you’ll enjoy a market-competitive base salary of £36,400 with a realistic

Qualifications

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification with at least 2 years of post-qualification technical/electrical/diagnostic experience.
• A customer-focused approach.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide roadside mechanical repair and diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Deliver quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members.
• Diagnose faults, perform repairs, and support callers on the roadside.
