Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to perform expert mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will start and finish each day from home and work on a demand-led schedule averaging around 40 hours per week, with optional overtime available.

You will be supplied with your RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools and a diagnostic kit to help you get customers back on the road quickly.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish your day at home with local, demand-led shifts.
• Operate with RAC van, fuel card, tools and diagnostic kit provided to complete each call.
