Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will start and finish from home, with 40-hour weeks and on-call shifts, supported by a RAC van, fuel card, and full uniform.

With a Level 2 qualification and at least 2 years of post-qualification experience, you will handle fault diagnostics, battery and tyre issues, and provide confident customer service on every call-out.

Qualifications

• A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent), with at least 2 years' post-qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience
• A customer-focused approach
• A full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles at the roadside, including diagnostics and emergency breakdown support
• Conduct fault-finding and repairs for common roadside issues
• Work across the UK with on-call shifts and responsive service
