Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician in the Patrol division to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and provide reassurance to members, working independently with the latest diagnostic technology.

With NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or 5+ years as a Technician) and a full UK driving licence, you’ll join a structured development pathway offering IMI accreditation and ongoing

Qualifications

NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
Willingness to participate in ongoing structured technical development.

Responsibilities

Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
Diagnose faults and provide reassurance to RAC members.
Work independently to diagnose faults and solve problems on the move.
